children’s convention & church visits
I had the opportunity to visit Pastor Ezekiel Gbande in the Bimbilla area, where he oversees several church planting communities and one of our Mission Schools in Suburini. We made visitations to Jagrido, Suburini and Chamba, mostly walking around the communities to visit and pray with their ECG church members. I also stopped by Mbowura to greet the teachers and students there. There was a funeral in the community that week, so I spent the majority of the day walking around the village to greet each household, which is a typical Ghanaian practice especially in small communities. The following weekend, I went to Kpalgun with Pastor Emmanuel to share God’s word with the ECG church there. We are praying about doing an evangelistic outreach in Kpalgun this year.
God is on the move and His spirit is always at work, despite the challenges faced in our communities. More often than not, these challenges often result in financial or material needs.
I am reminded of the story of the woman with the alabaster jar of costly perfume from Matthew 26. Jesus’ disciples were indignant about her use of this precious resource, in which she poured over Jesus’ head as a special anointing. They reasoned the perfume should have been sold for a large sum and given to the poor, but Jesus defended Mary’s actions as noble. Her primary allegiance and worship was to Jesus. May God help us all to also be reminded who our primary allegiance and worship belongs to!
Thanks for your continued prayers over us.
God bless you,
Janice & Enoch Jabab
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Thank you for your concern regarding Enoch’s family and the various health challenges several of our family members have faced. Please pray for his mother, who is currently in Accra (with Enoch) undergoing treatment for stomach cancer. We are trusting God for His perfect healing.
We submitted another application for a Visitor’s Visa to Canada for Enoch in mid-May. Please pray for a favorable outcome this time around.
Continue to pray for the growing church in Navrongo, as well as our various church planting communities such as Kpalgun, Jagrido, Suburini, Chamba and many others. May God supply every need according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.
