God At Work In Australia
This past June, I was able to make my first post Covid trip to Hong Kong and Australia for the purpose of networking, speaking at churches, and sharing the vision and mission of CIM Ministries. I spent a week in HK and over a month in Australia leaving Canada on May 31 and returning on July 4. I have been traveling to Australia to serve alongside CIM Australia once every two years, but my last visit was in 2018. I was scheduled to go in 2020, but because of the pandemic, the trip was canceled. It was a very busy month of ministry, but it was great to share the Word of God and reunite with many brothers and sisters in Christ. I especially thank CIM Australia who essentially scheduled and planned the entire trip.
The time spent in HK was very different than my last few visits. The Christian landscape has changed significantly since 2019 with many of our donors and other church leaders leaving the territory. Many have migrated to other countries with Great Britain the number 1 destination. The director for CIM Hong Kong has also retired, and currently the office in HK has closed. During my past visits, I was able to meet with mission committees of Cantonese churches, but during this trip, I was only able to go to an international church where I met their mission pastor and share with some leaders of a small group from another international church. However, though my stay in HK was limited to a week, I did find my time there productive as I was able to share CIM Ministries to a new generation of Hong Kongers.
In Australia, I spent the better part of a month. I spoke on 4 consecutive Sundays, sometimes up to three services a day, plus various prayer meetings, small groups, and other fellowships. I also met with many pastors, mission committees, and reconnected with most of the STMers that have traveled with me to Africa in the past. I also had the opportunity to celebrate Rev. Sunny Tse’s (chairperson for CIM Australia) and his wife Samantha’s 30th wedding anniversary. Though most of my stay was in Sydney, I did travel to Melbourne, Brisbane, and was able to take a few days holiday at Gold Coast. During my meetings and speaking engagements, I found that the people are very open and supportive to the ministries of CIM. Currently CIM Australia is planning a STM to Ghana in August 2024 and once the war is over in Ukraine to send a team there.
Congratulations to our International worker, Janice Jabab and her husband Enoch, for the birth of their daughter, Lucy Grace Jabab on June 25th in Calgary, Canada. Lucy was named after her late grandmother who was a faith filled woman of God. Both mother and baby are doing well and we are still waiting to see if Enoch’s visa will be approved so he can join his family in Canada before the entire family travels back to Ghana on a later date. In the meantime, Janice is on maternity leave and enjoying time with family and friends.
Thank you for all the support for CIM Ministries as we partner together to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. As ministries are beginning to ramp up again post Covid, we continually ask for your support through prayers and finances. May God bless you richly.

Pray With Us:
Please continue to pray for peace in Ukraine. The invasion rages on and innocent lives are lost each day. Pray for House of Mercy as they take care of refugees, physically and spiritually. Pray also for the planning of the “Mercy in the Midst of Turmoil” September trip to Canada for Pastor Vasya and Pastor Vlad. Pray that there will be donors for the Roma Ministry Fund to support these Ukraine Sharing Events and CIM's Roma Ministries in Ukraine. Click here to donate and for more details of the sharing events.
Pray for the pastors and teachers that we support in Ghana and Togo. Inflation is still greatly affecting their lives. Pray that there will be donors for our benevolent fund so we can help with some of their physical needs. Pray for the formation of STM teams in 2024.
Praise God for the smooth delivery of Baby Lucy on June 25 to Janice and Enoch Jabab. Pray that Enoch will be able to obtain a visa and travel to Canada to see his wife and daughter.
Pray for the wedding and marriage of our BOD member, Rich Ng, to Esther Lee on July 22 in Vancouver.
Pray for CIM USA as they are still looking for an Executive Director as well as a Director of Ministry.
