Meet Pastor Gideon Nignachi
In this month’s edition of CIM Ministries Newsletter, we introduce you to Pastor Gideon Nignachi, district overseer and pastor for Evangelical Church of Ghana.
I first met Pastor Gideon over 15 years ago when I taught a course at Evangelical Church of Ghana Bible School in Kpandai, Ghana and he was one of the students. Each day after class, I would go with the students for soft drinks and through these interactions I got to know Pastor Gideon better.
Upon graduating from Bible School, Pastor Gideon was assigned by ECG to Salaga, where he served as a church planter. In 2014, he was reassigned o Nkwanta, Oti region where he currently resides. He is the ECG district overseer and also church pastor in the Nkwanta region which comprises of 2 pastors and ten communities.
He is married to Comfort and has 6 children (Joyce, Mercy, Deborah, Beatrice, Steven, and Princess). Having lost his parents at the age of 19, he was the sole provider for his nine siblings. Along with his wife, he also took care of his uncle’s eight children. His commitment to his family and his sacrifices he made along the way has always touched and inspired me even when he was a student at the Bible School.
Recently there has been tribal conflicts in the Nkwanta region. Security measures are in place including a curfew. This has greatly affected the region and Nkwanta ECG church as many people cannot attend. Pastor Gideon has requested prayers for peace in the area and also that people will be able to safely attend church. Please also pray for the families especially children who have lost their parents in this conflict. Despite everything, their church continues to spread the gospel message to the surrounding villages.
We want to thank all the donors who have supported our ministries in Ghana. We value your continuing support. Through your generous giving, we have been able to pay a portion of Pastor Gideon’s salary to support his family. I have met Pastor Gideon numerous times during my travels to Ghana. Being a pastor in rural Ghana is a very difficult calling, but not once has Pastor Gideon complained. He is always very excited about his role in bringing the salvation of Jesus Christ to others. He is a very appreciative of the support from CIM.

Pray With Us:
Pray for the pastors and teachers that we support in Ghana and Togo. Inflation is still greatly affecting their lives. Pray that there will be donors for our benevolent fund so we can help with some of their physical needs. Pray for the formation of STM teams in 2024.
Please continue to pray for peace in Ukraine. The invasion rages on and innocent lives are lost each day. Pray for House of Mercy as they take care of refugees, physically and spiritually. As we are in the middle of winter, many of the villages have been cut off from electricity and running water.
Pray for the finances of CIM Ministries. Pray for new donors and a healthy general fund to run our ministries. In order to run our ministries effectively, we are currently seeking monthly donors. Click here to donate.
Pray for CIM USA as they are still looking for an Executive Director and Director of Ministry.
Pray for those in the CIM family who are dealing with health issues and those who have lost loved ones. Pray for comfort and healing.
